How I got started and why I'm still going

About

If you want a smooth web design experience and a website your ideal audience loves, delivered on time, you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve talked to plenty of business owners over the past five years who haven’t worked with a designer before and are unsure about how to choose the right one. All they want is someone who will listen to their needs, and create something that helps them achieve their business goals.

I’ve also talked to many businesses who, unfortunately, have had bad experiences previously. When they ask for alterations the designer can’t change it because “the theme won’t do that”. The project drags on for weeks after it was supposed to go live. They can’t see the progress – they’re unsure if the designer is even working on it at the moment.

I do things differently.

Often surprises are a lovely thing, but when you’re getting a new website, you don’t want surprises. We have four main values that we keep in mind at every step of the experience so you always know what to expect.

  • Communication

I kick-off the process with a questionnaire to get you thinking about your branding and your business goals. Once I’ve guided you through the process, we’ll know what problems you need your website to solve and I’ll come up with creative solutions for you. And I’ll always explain the “why” behind our design decisions.

  • Expectations

I have a clear, four-phase design process that takes you through what will happen from start to finish. You will always know which stage we’re up to, and what will be happening next. I give you password-protected access to your new website so you can see the progress we’re making day-by-day.

  • Timeline

We gather all the requirements and goals at the beginning and ask for the content up-front. Only after I’ve got everything I need do we set a project timeline. By then we’ll have a really clear idea of the time it will take to create your dream website and so the project will be delivered on time.

  • Milestones

I have quite a few deliverables along the way so you know where we’re up to and will be gaining valuable insight into your business at different stages of the design process. From the brand questionnaire, to the project proposal, timeline, wireframes, mock-ups and the final WordPress website.

Since our conception in early 2014, I’ve worked on over 100 WordPress websites (103 at the time of writing!) for businesses, charities, churches and schools, and love to put smiles on my clients’ faces (and their customers’ too). You can see some of my work on my portfolio page.

If you want to know more about what I do, the best thing to do is to start here. I have more details about our process, services and pricing, as well as FAQs, so take a good look around and see if I’m the right fit for you and your business.
