I’ve talked to plenty of people over the past five years who haven’t worked with a designer before and are unsure about how to choose the right one. All they want is someone who will listen to their needs, and create something that helps them achieve their goals.
I’ve also talked to many people who, unfortunately, have had bad experiences previously. When they ask for alterations the designer can’t change it because “the theme won’t do that”. The project drags on for weeks after it was supposed to go live. They can’t see the progress – they’re unsure if the designer is even working on it at the moment.
